Oftentimes there are subtle signs that someone is struggling with life. When these feelings become unbearable, they may start thinking that suicide is their only option.

Everyone has a role in achieving zero suicide in Australia. This online course will give you the skills and practical skills to help save a life from suicide. You learn how to recognise when someone is grappling with thoughts of suicide. How to start a conversation and check if they having been thinking of suicide. Suicide may be something they’re wanting to end the pain. No boring text or Powerpoint, this is filled with engaging audio, videos and live stories. You receive a 16 page information booklet at the start, and learn how to use the Calm Care mobile phone app. The app immediately links the person with a number of supports. They can message their needs directly from the app or call a Helpline without needing to access their list of contacts to make a call.

The course takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete, and is evidence informed. It is for anyone concerned about a friend, loved one, work colleague or those working in the front line.
