1-DAY Accidental Counsellor

The Accidental Counselling Course aims to provide people who find themselves in a position of supporting somebody who may be experiencing stress and or distress but doesn’t necessarily have formal qualifications or experience in doing so. Whether it be in our personal or professional lives, people often find themselves equipped with technical or task-oriented skills and knowledge. Good listening skills, compassion, empathy, and the ability to recognise signs of deteriorating mental health are important, but sometimes lacking.

Being equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage difficult conversations gives participants a framework for managing conflict, stress, or distress when engaged with another while having the awareness to uphold personal and professional boundaries.

This course will engage you with captivating videos, audios, theories, and a 24-page workbook filled with practical information and exercises to consolidate your key learnings.

You will learn how to help someone identify their strengths, that assist them to manage their problems better, and easier. You will learn how to reframe their thinking to give them a different perspective on something that previously painted a negative picture.
